Ocean Sails has come a long way in the yachting arena since 1971 when the company was first established.

Since 1980 Steven Hollis has been at the helm at Ocean Sails/Doyle Bermuda and the company has garnered a stellar reputation among sailors worldwide.

Starting out as a production loft, Ocean Sails joined the Doyle group in 1985. As yacht racing became more competitive, new techniques and designs were constantly being developed. Times were changing and so was sail technology.

Steve’s decision to join the Doyle team was based on Doyle Sailmakers attention to engineering detail, quality of construction and application of the latest technology. Ocean Sails/Doyle Bermuda will provide you with the highest quality racing or cruising sails, complete rigging services and sail repair second to none.

In addition to our sail service Ocean Sails provides top quality custom canvas work, stainless steel fabrication, interior & exterior upholstery, residential & commercial awnings and fabric architecture.

Steve bringing his extensive sailmaking and canvas fabrication experience to the forefront and his wife Suzanne, with her extensive knowledge of the marine business, has grown the company to where it is today.

Recently purchasing the 2400 square foot building, renovating the premises to create a more efficient work space and to provide a welcoming atmosphere for sailors and all customers alike; Ocean Sails/Doyle Bermuda is truly a labour of love for Steve and Suzanne.

Because of our location, we repair thousands of sails of every size and weight built by almost every sailmaker in the industry.

We will examine each sail and can tell what sailmaker produces a good product and can ascertain what mistakes are being made from design, production, right down to the sailcloth and hardware being used.

We will analyze each repair and explain to our customers why the problem has occurred.
