Maple Leaf Adventures

Maple Leaf Adventures

Join us to experience the amazing natural world of the B.C. and Alaska coast. Relax, rejuvenate and learn as you cruise by classic schooner, with experts as your guides.

Small Ship Expedition Cruises by Sail

Explore the wildlife, rainforest, islands and coast of British Columbia and Alaska’s Inside Passage or Haida Gwaii on our small ship adventure cruises. These multi-day expeditions aboard the classic, 92-foot schooner Maple Leaf give you an exceptional, and up-close experience of nature and coastal culture.

You will be one of just 8 or 9 guests, with a crew that includes an expert naturalist, gourmet chef and top wilderness guides. Maple Leaf Adventures has been operating these sailing expedition cruises since 1986. We operate according to the principles of ecotourism, and our trips have been rated very highly by guests and international media alike.

As on the top Galapagos cruises, you will find yourself comfortable, well cared for and experiencing the best of nature’s beauty.

About Us and Our Small Ship Cruises

Maple Leaf Adventures has been offering small ship cruises that feature the natural and cultural history of Alaska and Canada’s west coast since 1986. Our “cruise ship” is the 92-foot classing sailing ship, the Maple Leaf, a beautiful, comfortable and strong expedition ship.

We have a reputation as one of Canada’s finest tour operators. A trip on Maple Leaf has been named by Frommer’s travel guide as one of Canada’s 6 “Best Travel Experiences”.

Our multi-day excursions offer guests the opportunity to experience intimately the most beautiful places on the B.C. and Alaska coast, in the company of expert naturalists or historians, crew and chef.

As a longtime practitioner of ecotourism, Maple Leaf pioneered travel in the Great Bear Rainforest and northwestern Vancouver Island, and has made significant contributions to conservation on the coast.

Our crew-to-guest ratio is second to none, prompting frequent comments like this:

“I will always remember soaking in the Bishop Bay hot springs on my 50th birthday – and the delicious ReBar recipe chocolate cake that Erin made for dinner that night. Many thanks to Kevin, JD, Maureen, Erin, Briony and Deb for taking such excellent care of us.”
