Kalamata Marina in Peloponnesus. Through these pages we will introduce you to a beautiful and well organised marina in southern Greece and provide you with all the details which will ensure a pleasant arrival and stay.

Viewing the impressive mountain of Taigetus, Kalamata marina is situated literally next to the city’s centre and the main harbour, thus being an integral part of the town of Kalamata. So, guests of the marina are able to enjoy the life and the services being offered by the historical city of Kalamata.

Kalamata is a modern marina which has a capacity to accommodate 250 yachts with a maximum length of 25 meters and 3 meters draught. All berths are equipped with electricity and potable water.

There are dry docking facilities for about 150 boats, with a 60-ton travelift to facilitate the man?uvres of boats in and out of the water. The marina, cooperating with external technicians, offers a full range of technical services covering a wide range of maintenance and repair works.

Within the shore area surrounding the marina there are 860 sq.m. of building installations with a fair number of facilities providing various services for customers and guests, such as shops, offices, refreshment bars, a restaurant, offices for the rental of boats and cars, a fuel station, toilets and shower facilities.

The marina operates all year round. Upon your arrival you should contact the marina’s reception office on the VHF channel 69 in order to receive instructions. The marina’s friendly personnel will assist you with all arrival formalities.

FACILITIES/SERVICES

Tthe 860 sq.m. of building facilities and near the marina, a number of different services are available, such as commercial shops, car, motorbike and boat rental offices, restaurants, bars and cafe, Port Police office, Fuel station, supermarket, laundry, showers and WC facilities.

Berthing
The marina has capacity for 250 yachts, on both permanent and floating pontoons. Allocation of berths is based on the dimensions of the boats.

Moorings are available for short and long term periods, and boats up to 25 metres long and with up to 3 metres draught can be accommodated.

At all berths electricity is available (220V and 380V) as well as potable water, while permanent laid moorings guarantee the safety of boats moored here.

Off-shore anchoring in the marina area is not permitted, except for short-term in the case of emergency.

Upon arrival at the Marina, you should complete the check-in formalities immediately, at the Reception Office.

Repairs
There are dry docking facilities for approximately 150 boats, with a 60- ton travelift to facilitate the manoeuvre of boats in and out of the water. The marina cooperating with external technicians, offers a full range of technical services covering a wide range of maintenance and repair works.

Reception Office
The marina is open all year round on a 24-hour basis. The Reception Office is located at the Administration building, where our friendly and specialized staff will assist you with all arrival formalities, deal with any problems that might arise and provide you with any kind of information you might need.

The opening hours of the Reception Office vary according to the season. You may call the Office or the Duty Officer on VHF channel 69.

Electricity and Water
220V-380V electricity on the piers is provided for free. Potable water is charged according to counters and is available at the piers, pontoons and at the Fuel Station as well.

Should you require cables or plugs, these are available at the chandlery.

Refuelling
A Fuel Station is to be found in the marina. The friendly and efficient staff will attend promptly to your needs for petrol diesel, oil, filters, and drinking water.

As with any fuel supply station, the observation of safety regulations is essential. For that reason, in this area:

1. Smoking is prohibited.
2. The use of naked flames and spark-producing devices is prohibited.
3. The use of the pumps is restricted to the authorised personnel.

Weather Reports
Daily weather reports are displayed on the notice board at the reception. You may also request weather information from the marina office via VHF.

Postal Services
Mailboxes are located at various points throughout the marina. Letters or parcels should be collected from the Reception Office. The postal address is:

Telephones
A Public telephone booth is sited near the Reception Office, where there is also a fax service. Urgent messages are delivered direct to the boat. Mobile phone services are also to be found in the marina.

Guests’ Office Space
A fully equipped area for clients wishing to work or hold meetings is to be found in the Administration building. There are also Internet access facilities in the same area.

WI-FI
Wireless internet access FREE of charge is available.

Shower and W.C. facilities
W.C. and shower facilities are available within the premises. They may be used at any time except during the daily cleaning period, when we would ask for your co-operation. Separate toilet facilities are available for those with special needs.

Laundry and Drying Facilities
Fully equipped self-service laundry and drying facilities are to be found at the toilet and shower unit.

Medical assistance
The Kalamata Hospital is located near the marina. In the case of an emergency call the marina office.

Transport
Car and motorbike rental offices operate near the marina. The reception staff can call a taxi for you at any time, and can provide information on local bus services. Please observe the 30-kph speed limit within the marina.

Parking
Facilities for the parking of cars and boat trailers are available free of charge to our guests. Please park only at the designated areas. The marina is not responsible for the loss or theft of items from parked vehicles.

Rubbish Disposal
Both large and small rubbish receptacles are conveniently distributed throughout the marina. There are also special receptacles for the disposal of used oil. Please do not leave rubbish outside these containers, and do not throw rubbish into the sea.

Security
Both on and off shore there is constant surveillance by marina personnel, either from the administration building or by means of regular patrols around the pontoons. Safety ladders and lifebelts are located along all the pontoons.

Port Police
Port Police office is to be found in the Public Services building.

Banks
There are several banks within 1 km. from the marina.

Shopping
There are several shops in the Marina and the surrounding area, covering most of your needs.

Entertainment
Restaurants, bars and cafe are located on the quayside.
