The Hemingway International Yacht Club of Cuba (HIYC) is a non-profit civil society, founded on May 21, 1992 with the aim of fostering the love for pleasure navigation, sea-related tourism and sports by means of the organization of nautical competitions and events, as well as promoting friendship and collaboration with other yacht clubs, associations, institutions and personalities of the international nautical community.
After 19 years of its inception, the Hemingway International Yacht Club is proud of the achievements attained during this period. Currently, we count with 2124 members from 60 countries registered in this Cuban nautical institution. The majority of them are from the United States, Canada, Italy, Spain, Germany, France and the United Kingdom.
The members of the HIYC are very happy to provide a wide variety of nautical and social activities in a friendly and fraternal atmosphere. Our Yacht Club pays special attention to teach water sports to the younger members of the nautical family, for whom it offers sailing, fishing, and water ski instructors.
