Grand Harbour Marina Berthing Plan

VHF Channel 13

The premier destination in the central Mediterranean for yachts and superyachts.

Grand Harbour Marina is a world-class luxury marina set against the glorious scenic background of a UNESCO World Heritage site. Ideally placed in the centre of the Mediterranean for cruising, as home port or winter stop-over, the marina is fully ISPS compliant – one of the few yacht specific compliant ports in the Mediterranean and the only one on Malta. We offer berths for vessels up to 100m LOA.

Our standard facilities include:

  • 24 hour CCTV
  • Fresh water
  • Grey and black water discharge
  • Fuel bunkering
  • Refuse disposal
  • Single and three phase electricity
  • Free marina-wide wireless broadband
  • ISPS certified
  • Palumbo superyacht shipyard in adjacent creek, with 160m graving dock and 140m covered dock
  • Travel lift and boatyards for smaller vessels nearby
  • Technical services for yacht repairs and servicing locally
  • Car parking
  • Luxury washrooms

This Mediterranean marina faces the beautiful capital of Valetta and provides the highest level of quality and service for berth holders and visitors.

On approaching Grand Harbour, the breakwater – with St Elmo lighthouse on its eastern end – is easy to identify. Leaving this to starboard, and the short breakwater off Fort Ricasoli to port, the impressive Fort St Angelo is then rounded to port to enter the final approach channel, marked with small red and green buoys.

Due to the volume of commercial traffic in certain areas of Grand Harbour, yachts should contact Valletta Port Control on channel 12 when twelve miles out. It is likely yachts will be asked to call again 1 mile from the entrance, to request permission to enter.

Contact Grand Harbour Marina on channel 13 for berthing instructions or to book your berth.

  • Accessible day or night in all weather conditions
  • 24 hour berthing assistance from trained staff
  • Maximum LOA 130m alongside (100m stern-to) and draft to 10m
  • Customs and Immigration clearance available in Grand Harbour
