Where

First Class Sailing provide the full range of RYA sailing courses and a huge variety of sailing and yachting activities to help you experience what WE at First Class Sailing LOVE about sailing – the adventure, excitement, 360 degree horizon, camaraderie, freedom, the escape, that 2 days on a boat is like 2 weeks on a beach.

Whether you’re a beginner looking to step on board for the first time, or an experienced sailor looking to develop your skills and open up new sailing opportunities, you can find a course which is perfectly suited to your level. You’ll develop the confidence as well as the practical skills and knowledge you’ll need to enjoy the freedom and excitement of sailing.

Once you have enough experience to charter a boat we have a range of yachts you can choose from our Solent yacht charter operation.

Our Yachts

We use a number of different yachts. In 2010 we took delivery of two brand new Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 36i cruising yachts. The Jeanneau 36i is a high-performance cruising yacht built for comfort, and designed for those looking for a relaxed way of getting away from it all. An ideal boat for those wishing to learn the ropes, it’s also the sort of boat you could well end up chartering in the Mediterranean or Caribbean.

The quality of equipment onboard is unequalled, including top brands such as Harken deck fittings and Selden mast and boom. The latest Raymarine electronic chart plotter integrated with radar is built into the cockpit, which means you can navigate from on deck.

Obviously we still carry paper charts and using these will be very much part of any course.

Below deck there are fully equipped galleys and heating supplied to each cabin.
