Camel Dive Club, Naama Bay

Experience the best Red Sea diving with us. Let our experienced guides show you around some of the best Red Sea dives here in Sharm El Sheikh. We run daily trips to world-class dive sites including Ras Mohammed, Straits of Tiran, Thistlegorm and Dunraven wrecks, and Dahab.

If you are staying in Naama Bay, you will use our main dive centre at Camel Hotel.

Camel Dive Club is one of the best-known diving centres in Sharm El Sheikh. It was founded in 1986, and is a PADI five-star Instructor Development Dive Resort. Our main dive centre is open from 8:00 to 22:00, directly beside the Hotel. You may check in here for guided boat diving, snorkelling and tec diving. There is a lockable store room for stowing your equipment. Our dive school (open 8:00 to 18:00) is located in the courtyard next door. The separate school allows Camel instructors to give extra attention to student divers.

Diving and snorkelling by boat

We offer boat diving and snorkelling to all dive sites including the Straits of Tiran, Ras Mohammed National Park and local sites.Boat excursions depart from Na’ama Bay jetty, which is a few minutes walk from our dive centre. Wreck diving excursions to SS Dunraven and SS Thistlegorm depart from Sharm El Sheikh jetty, approximately fifteen minutes away.

NEW – Diving by express speedboat

Our express speedboat, Camel I, departs directly from the private jetty at Grand Rotana Resort & Spa and reaches the Straits of Tiran in less than 20 minutes. It’s ideal for divers who want to combine exploring the spectacular Red Sea with other activities during their holiday. We run several diving excursions by speedboat, every day. Diving and snorkelling by shore

Some of our learn to dive courses include dives from the beach in Naama Bay. Naama Bay has a gently sloping sandy bottom, with coral pinnacles, sea grass and plenty of marine life. It is ideal for training dives. If you are staying at Camel Hotel, you may snorkel from the beach. Snorkel equipment may be hired from the diving centre.

PADI courses

We teach a full range of PADI learn-to-dive and other diving courses. Confined water dives are made at our specially-designed diver training pool, inside Camel Hotel. The pool has three levels, from 1.2 to 3.4 metres depth, which are ideal for diver training. We have two air-conditioned training rooms. Open water training dives may be made from the beach or boat.

Grand Rotana Resort & Spa

If your hotel is located north of Naama Bay (from Sharks Bay to Nabq), you will use our centre at Grand Rotana Resort & Spa.

We offer complimentary transfers between all hotels in the area, and our dive centre. We are located directly on the resort’s private 400m beach.

Five star Grand Rotana Resort & Spa is one of the most highly recommended hotels in Sharm el Sheikh. Set in landscaped gardens, the resort has 526 spacious guest rooms, including 25 Club Rotana suites and nine Royal Villas. Its restaurants offer Mediterranean to Far Eastern and local delicacies, Italian and Thai cuisine.

Diving and snorkelling by boat

We offer boat diving and snorkelling to all dive sites including the Straits of Tiran, Ras Mohammed National Park and local sites along the coast. Boat excursions to local sites and the Straits of Tiran depart from Sharks Bay jetty or from Na’ama Bay. Sharks Bay jetty is approximately five minutes away by air-conditioned minibus. Boats to Ras Mohammed, Dunraven and Thistlegorm leave from Na’ama Bay or from Sharm el Sheikh. The jetties at Na’ama Bay and Sharm el Sheikh are approximately fifteen minutes away.

Diving and snorkelling at the house reef
Join us to explore the house reef Eagle Ray Bay. It offers relaxing diving and snorkelling, with coral slopes, pinnacles and drop-offs. It is perfect for snorkelling, Try-dives, PADI courses and guided diving. Guided dives are scheduled twice per day from the beach. A specially-designed floating platform provides safe, easy access over the reef. You may rent snorkelling equipment from our centre on the beach.

PADI courses

We teach a full range of PADI learn-to-dive and other diving courses. Confined water dives may be made in the resorts’ swimming pools, and an air-conditioned training room is available. For open water training dives, there is a choice of diving from the beach or boat.
