Chao lay the sailing experience
Chao Lay is based in the Grenada Yacht Club. With easy flights from Europe and the United States. This is a year round cruising area with Tobago Cays and the Grenadines with in easy reach.
It is a perfect area to learn to sail with warm breezes and flat seas, in the lee of the islands, along with open passages between the islands to develop your offshore sailing skills.
Alex is a RYA Yachtmaster instructor and in is running RYA courses from Grenada and the Grenadines along with mile building and adventure holidays.

She is a lovely 3 cabin solid bluewater cruiser. Exactly what is needed to live up to Her name which is Thai for “Sea Gypsy”. She has a bright and well-ventilated interior.
She is an ideal base for a sailing holiday, or for getting to grips with the RYA sailing course of your choice. The yacht is optimised for training, with an extensive selection of RYA course books. We carry a generator for charging electrical equipment, full spinnaker gear and a spinnaker pole for demonstration of downwind running techniques.
You chose whether to participate in sailing or relax and enjoy the passage. Accommodation is spacious and comfortable, with each cabin having en-suite heads and showers. Chao Lay is very suitable for 2 couples or for a family. We also cater for couples or honeymooners who want to charter just for themselves.
We frequently dine on deck, although the comfortable dining area below also provides a perfect atmosphere for sharing the days stories. The boat’s library includes references on the oceans and marine life, and environmental issues.
Cuisine aboard Chao Lay. We aim to use as many local ingredients in our cooking as possible. Catering for guest/crews preferences.
Breakfasts are as healthy or as hearty as you would like from fruit salad and cereal to full english breakfasts.
Lunches on board are picnic style a combination of salads cheeses and coldmeats, or as requested.
Dinners are available on request, we are happy to recommend restaurants in the area.

If you are planning an ocean passage or have any other yachting questions Alex can help through his extensive knowledge and passed experience. From passage planning, ports to visit, sail plan, power needs. An allboard sail and yacht inspection will allow a comprehensive report on your proposed cruise to be produced.
