In the Area:
Mali Losinj is a small town and tourist resort in the southeastern part of a large and well protected bay on the island of Losinj. The town developed from a small village primarily between the 18th and 19th centuries with the growth of shipbuilding and resulted in a style of houses called “captain’s house” that are placed in the middle of a Mediterranean garden with architectural features from late Baroque and classicism. Among the interesting sites to see are the church of St. Martin , built between 1450 and 1490, the church of The Nativity of Our Lady from 1696.
