Northwest of Seattle, Washington lie several groups of islands that are nestled mountain ranges to the North, South and to the East. The protected waters that surround these islands are a closely guarded secret of those who have discovered this
Northwest oasis. Although the Pacific Northwest receives a significant amount of rainfall, these cruising areas are situated in the lee of of three different mountain ranges that create a rain shadow that yields a wonderful micro-climate.

The Magnificent San Juan Islands lay nestled in the protected waters between the Olympic and Cascade mountains to the south and to the east. These forested islands are in the rain shadow of the Olympics. This Phenominon commonly referred to as the bannana belt results in a sunny climate. Wild creatures flourish here. Bald Eagles, numerous migratory birds, Seals, Sea Lions, Sea Otters and Orca Whales make their home here…to name just a few. Visit our islands – you’ll be glad you did!

The Canadian Gulf Islands are situated in the lee of Vancouver Island, just across the US/Canada border. This wonderful string of over 200 islands offers hundreds of protected anchorages, shops and restaurants and the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Offering a unique mix of protected waters, breathtaking scenery and interesting destinations, many consider this to be some of the world’s finest cruising

There is no experience on earth that compares to the majesty of Desolation Sound or the fjord-like reaches to Princess Louisa Inlet and Chatterbox Falls. Gather seafood from the beaches or swim in waters warmed by thermal currents.

Relax in steamy hot springs while Orcas play offshore. Desolation Sound is a vacation dream come true…an experience you’ll tell stories about for years to come. There are simply too many places to see in a single visit!

In 1792 during his search for the famed Northwest Passage, Capt. George Vancouver discovered the entrance to Princess Louisa Inlet. Princess Louisa Inlet possesses a charm and scenic beauty that must be seen and experienced to be truely appreciated.

Venturing further North to the head end of this fabulous protected inlet reveals the breathtaking grandeur of Chatterbox Falls which is reputed to be the highest falls in North America. This fabulous Pacific Northwest charter cruising destination will provide lifelong memories of an unequalled bareboat charter experience.
